Partial Service Has Resumed

If yesterday was a 10/10 on the man pain scale, then today is an 8/10. Getting out of bed was marginally better and only involved holding onto the walls and shuffling. No crawling today. Transpires that I'd forgotten that I should still be taking Naproxen along with the diazepam and paracetamol, so lesson learnt. I've swapped out the paracetamol for co-codomol for good measure! In short, I'm rattling and feeling marginally better for it.

So using conventional wisdom, I've come for my first beer in a guest area, mainly because I needed something to wash my next set of pills down. The aim of the game is to find the balance between relaxing my spasming muscles and overdosing! Game on!!!

And so it's in the Golden Lion that I find myself in. The Golden Lion is the British style pub on board. It's actually quite a nice venue where some of us as officers can swing by and have a couple of social ones in-between cocktail party commitments. I've begun to create a new page for the site where I'll post a bunch of images from around the ship where you can get an idea of the areas I talk of. The ship is as much of a feature as the voyage is. I'll speak of places and it'll be useful for you to see where I speak of.

I popped into Illuminations earlier to watch the end of a talk from a guy whose career was in Hollywood, I don't recall his name but he was personable and he has some stories to share that most don't.

My main aim today is to have a couple of day beers and try to relax into being a guest, it would be handy if my spine came along for the ride. That said, I've just realised that bingo is about to start, not my cup of tea but I'll grab a second beer and watch it unfold.

All being well, the spine will take a back seat in these blogs and I can concentrate on enjoying the guest side of the ship
