Like all good stories, we start at the beginning! In this instance it's sitting on my sofa trying not to think about how I'm going to carry my luggage tomorrow! Out of the blue with no explanation whatsoever I've managed to do something to my back which has left me largely incapacitated for the last few days!
Tomorrow, I fly from Manchester to JFK in New York to embark Queen Mary 2 as a guest for a couple of weeks before I join as crew in Los Angeles. Lugging my bag, containing my uniform and clothes for numerous climates for the next 3.5 months does not fill me with joy!!
I'm hoping that the pay off will be worth the pain!!
