The Panama Canal (Day 2)

As with all our maiden calls there is a plaque exchange between the port and the ship. The plaque will take pride of place amongst the many many others from around the world on display around the ship.

Day two of transiting the canal saw us enter the locks at Cocoli around mid morning before passing under the Bridge of Americas. Time slots dictate our passage and as a result of this we passed under the bridge and entered the Pacific Ocean at around 2pm.

Our berth for the overnight call was available to use from around 8:30pm so the afternoon was spent gently cruising the Pacific until it was time to head back through the Pacific Entrance towards Fuerte Amador where our overnight berth awaited. We were treated to a bit of a break from the heat with the sun sitting behind clouds and a gentle breeze

On the whole, today was a relaxed one, in the knowledge that Fuerte Amador awaited!!!
